Astrology is seen as the art of divining the fate and destiny of each of us via the juxtaposition of the Sun, Moon and planets. Though there are many constellations,  in Astrology we only look at the 12 constellations the Sun travels through during the year, as we observe from our home the earth. We know this path of constellations as the Zodiac, each of which has a name.

Aries the ram, the sign of new beginnings, of fire and ruled by Mars.

Taurus the bull, the sign of development, of earth and ruled by Venus.

Gemini the twins, the sign of communication, of air and ruled by Mercury.

Cancer the crab, the sign of nurture, of water and ruled by the Moon.

Leo the lion, the sign of expression, of fire and ruled by the Sun.

Virgo the maiden, the sign of perfection, of earth and ruled by Mercury.

Libra the scales, the sign of harmony, of air and ruled by Venus.

Scorpio the scorpion, the sign of mysticism, of water and ruled by Mars & Pluto.

Sagittarius the archer, the sign freedom, of fire and ruled by Jupiter.

Capricorn the mountain goat, the sign of time, of earth and ruled by Saturn.

Aquarius the water carrier, the sign of the humanitarian, of air and ruled by Uranus.

Pisces the two fishes, the sign of spirituality, of water and ruled by Neptune.
